Terminator 2 was always very memorable for me. I remember seeing it when I was much, much younger, and I absolutely loved it. I really haven’t seen it in a long time now, so I’m glad I watched this again to refresh my mind on it, even though I recognized most of the parts right when they came on.

The movie takes place about 10 years after the events of the first movie. In the future, Skynet has realized that their plan to kill Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton) in the first movie failed, and so now they come up with a new plan…send another Terminator back in time to kill John Connor (played by Edward Furlong) when he was a child. They send back the T-1000 (played by Robert Patrick), an extremely advanced machine, one that has the qualities of liquid metal. In the future, John Connor sends back The Terminator (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) that tried to kill his mother, reprogramming it to protect his younger self.

I thought the whole setup of the movie was great. I mean, the villain in the first movie…the one and only Terminator…is now the good guy in the sequel. It’s an awesome premise, and makes for an enjoyable watch.

Terminator 2 was a lot more plot heavy than the first movie was, which was more or less just a lot of awesome action with story bits thrown in here and there. Terminator 2 is a lot longer than the first movie was, so there’s much more plot to it. Still, the plot is absolutely awesome, so I enjoyed it.

Also, seeing The Terminator fight another machine, the T-1000, was just simply awesome. Watching them go at it was a lot of the times a lot cooler than watching Kyle Reese fight a machine. However, even if it’s a lot cooler, the action scenes seemed to have a bit less intensity than those of the first movie. Still, they are top notch.

Overall, I think that the first Terminator movie was just a bit better, however I still think Terminator 2 is a perfect sci-fi action thriller movie as well. The first movie was so worth it, and the sequel did not disappoint in the slightest.
