Reservoir Dogs is the first film from famous filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, most famous for movies like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. And yes, it ranks up there with those movies for me.

Reservoir Dogs details the story of a group of men who don’t know each other, working together to pull of a heist. The movie shows us events from before and after the heist, but not during. However, the heist goes terribly wrong, with police showing up almost immediately. This means that among the group of men, one of them is a rat for the police. All of the men go by code names based on a color, such as Mr. White and Mr. Pink. As stated before, none of these men know each other, so the code names are to protect their real names from one another. Through a series of flashbacks and events succeeding the heist, the remaining men have to figure out who among them is the rat.

I think what I like a lot about the movie, aside from the whole mystery aspect to it, is that even though the men are intended to remain anonymous, we still delve into a lot of their characters pretty deeply. Each character has a distinctive personality, and I like it.

When thinking about a score for something, you have to taken into consideration any faults in the movie, and what could have been better. Well, when I stopped and thought about it, to be honest Reservoir Dogs is perfect. It’s got everything you could ask for…a compelling story, interesting characters, great acting and directing, iconic moments, and some fantastic dialogue. It really is an incredible movie, and I can’t imagine it being any better than it already is. One of the best that I’ve seen.
