Well, Clerks II is Kevin Smith’s seventh film, and his only official sequel to any of his movies. The first Clerks movie was largely successful, and the follow-up does not disappoint. In fact, in my opinion, Clerks II is not only even better than the first movie, but also Kevin Smith’s best movie to date.

In the film’s opening, Dante Hicks (played by Brian O’Halloran) goes to work at the Quick Stop, only to find it on fire. The store burns down, and so him and his best friend Randal Graves (played by Jeff Anderson) have to find a new job. We fast forward to about a year later, and find that the two have started working at a fictional fast-food joint called Mooby’s. However, it’s Dante’s last day at work before he moves away from New Jersey and down to Florida to get married. So, naturally, Randal tries to make it all worthwhile for him, and so once again we’re taken into a day of the hilarious lives of two regular store clerks, and as the gut-busting events unfold, Dante finds he might want to re-consider moving.

Everything you could possibly want from a comedy is found in Clerks II. I absolutely loved it, and I was laughing all the way through. There’s never a dull moment to be found, and there’s so many memorable parts in the movie, such as the donkey show, pussy trolls, porch monkeys, and the dance to the song “ABC” (which is personally my favorite part of the movie).

In my opinion, Clerks II excels in every way, and to me that makes it one of the best of its kind. I couldn’t find anything wrong with the movie, nothing that I didn’t like. I thought every moment of the film was perfect, and in my opinion it’s Kevin Smith’s best movie. This has gone down as one of my favorite comedies of all time.
